    My gym has a 100+ different types of cardio vs 4 rowing machines. Often I am the only person using 1 of 4 machines.That alone tells me I'm doing the right thing

    Just found this channel a week or so ago. Never liked rowing. But I had to cross train due to shin splints. I watched some of Dark Horse's videos. And viola... I love rowing now. From less than 5 minutes of rowing, now I can do 30 minutes! I'm amazed. Thanks. 🎉😁👍

    Been religiously doing this 3 times a week and something clicked this week. I now hit the distance I used to finish with 2/3rds - halfway through the workout and today I crushed a calorie burn milestone I've never been able to hit before! Thank you Shane!! 💪

    I signed up at Row House 20 classes challenge for June. I am at 18! But exhaustion got me the last few days. Definitely craving rest and eating more protein and drinking more water.

    Hi, I really like your instructions, so clear! I had to stop rowing (with you- was doing 15 min daily) had a very bad prolapse bladder. Now I’m on manageable stage and want to start to rowing again. Could you make a video for this specific situation? Many thanks you are a big star!!!

      It surprises a lot of people. It was what makes rowing a pushing rather than a pulling sport

    Awesome video Shane. I've been watching your videos for about 15 months now, and after hating the rower, now I know how to do it, it's like nothing else. Getting the stroke bang on is like hitting the sweet spot on the golf ball, you just don't feel it but it's awesome. I'm close to 56 and hitting advanced to Elite times on my 2 & 10k's apparently. I just joined you and pushed out 22k. Thanks. You're a great coach

    Could an 82 yr old on a cane from a fractured femoral stem hip replacement atrophied gluteus medius. I want to awaken it. I do 4 miles aday walking with speed. I did therapy for a year .

    A little late to this one, but I did literally this in December. Rowed 10k every day for 31 days (it was actually 311km in 27 sessions, due to Christmas day, work commitments, and a couple of days off). Was already rowing once or twice a week as part of a mixed training regime. Noticeable changes - increased Ankle/Achilles strength and flexibility. Quads became stronger in the front, losing some in the side built from cycling. Glutes really leaned off. Big increase in shoulders and mid back strength. Downsides - a bit of atrophy on the arms as I didn't do any weights for 30 days. Over the month my average 500m pace dropped by 4 seconds, average watts up a little.

    Just got my Concept 2 and now this workout makes more sense. 😊 The higher drag setting messed with finding my stroke rate for some reason. Initially it felt like I wasn’t as efficient, but towards the end it got better.

    I have been rowing 30 minutes 6 days a week for 8 months now. I have so much more strength, definition, and I have lost 60 lbs. I love it! I bribed my hubby to join me and our gym ended up purchasing more rowers since we were on them so much 😂!
